Frequently asked questions

Have a question we haven't covered? Call us anytime. We're happy to talk it through with you.

How much does this service cost?

Absolutely nothing. Our touring service is completely free to you and your family. We are compensated by the senior living communities we partner with, similar to how a real estate agent works. You will never receive a bill or be asked for a credit card.

Do I have to decide on the day of the tour?

Not at all. There is no pressure to make any decision during or after your tour. Many families take several days or even a few weeks to think things over, talk with family members, and revisit a community before choosing. We are here to support you at whatever pace feels right.

Who does the driving?

Your guide does all the driving. We pick you up at your home or a convenient location you choose and drive you to each community on your list. You sit back and enjoy the ride. Before we leave, you will sign a brief, standard waiver covering transportation. Your guide will walk you through it.

Can I bring a family member or friend?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Bringing a spouse, adult child, or trusted friend gives you a second perspective and someone to talk things over with. The more comfortable and supported you feel, the better decision you will make. Just let us know how many people to expect.

How many communities will we visit?

Typically two to five communities in a single tour day, depending on your preferences and how much time you want to spend at each one. We pre-select communities based on your care needs, location, lifestyle preferences, and budget, so every stop is genuinely worth your time.

What is the difference between independent living, assisted living, and memory care?

Independent living is designed for seniors who are largely self-sufficient but want a maintenance-free lifestyle with social opportunities. Assisted living provides daily support with tasks like bathing, dressing, and medication management while preserving as much independence as possible. Memory care is a specialized, secure environment for individuals living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Your guide can explain each option in detail and help you identify which level of care is the best fit right now.

What should I bring or prepare for the tour?

Not much is required. It helps to have a rough sense of your preferred location, your monthly budget, and any specific care needs or lifestyle preferences: things like a pet, a garden hobby, or a preference for religious programming. Wear comfortable shoes for walking, and bring along any questions you've been meaning to ask. We'll make sure every one of them gets answered.
